Jobs in Royal University of Law and Economics in Cambodia
The Royal University of Law and Economics (RULE) was one of the first higher educational institutions in Cambodia. RULE was established in 1948 as the National Institute of Law, Politics and Economics. In 2003 the former Institute officially became a university. In 2003 there were almost 5,000 students studying at the university. Pheng Sovan Vicheth said he had studied for 5 years for this CCIE certificate. He said the competition was held in two stages. The first stage is a 3-hour written examination held at Sunrise Information Technology headquarter in China and was supervised by representatives from Pearson VUE. The second stage is an 8-hour practical examination to design a networking system between Hong Kong, China, Australia and America. Mr. Hong Sophanny, a representative of CISCO Networking Academy in Cambodia, said this is the first time a Cambodian software engineer won the CCIE certificate, where competition is very tough. "In total around the world we (Cisco) have only about 20,000 (software) engineers who hold this certificate", he said. He said to be able to attain CCIE certificate, candidates must spend quite a long time to study the course and spend at least $5,000 for the course.
