Freeman Awards for Study in Asia are designed to offer generous support to U.S. students who may be considering studies in an Asian country. These programs are not cheap and the Freeman Awards are offered as encouragement and incentive. The Freeman Foundation believes in the innate beauty of Asia and its contemporary ability to provide unique and ultra-modern environments for Western students. Eligible candidates must have significant financial need in combination with academic excellence. Programs may be summer, semester or a year in length. Awards are up to $7,000.
