Under the General Supervision of the Supervisor of Aquatics, safeguards the facility to ensure the public have a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience. Provide safe and enjoyable instruction to program participants according to the standards of the Lifesaving Society. The Canada Games Complex has put in place an in-water evaluation of all potential aquatic employees. Aquatic hiring try-outs are conducted to ensure potential applicants have retained the knowledge and skills learned in their lifeguarding and instructor courses. The try-out session will guide candidates through the Canada Games Complex aquatics hiring process. The try-outs include a stroke evaluation, timed rescue swim and retrieval of a weight from 4.93 meters.
