Provide safe and enjoyable instruction to program participants according to the standards of the Lifesaving Society. The Canada Games Complex has put in place an in-water evaluation of all potential aquatic employees. Aquatic hiring try-outs are conducted to ensure potential applicants have retained the knowledge and skills learned in their lifeguarding and instructor courses. The try-out session will guide candidates through the Canada Games Complex aquatics hiring process. The try-outs include a stroke evaluation, timed rescue swim and retrieval of a weight from 4.93 meters.
